I have no idea what caused the death of Pauline. I’ve reached out to others researching this line but haven’t received a response at the time of this writing. Clay died in the Madison County Hospital. According to The Madison County Record, 14 Dec 1950 edition:
Clay Hull, age 13, died at the Madison County Hospital Saturday, Dec. 9. The youth had been admitted to the hospital on Friday.
They were the children of Alex and Mary Hull. It must have been heartbreaking for this couple as Pauline and Clay were the only children to come from their marriage. More heartache followed in 1952 when Alex died as a result of being kicked by a horse. I can’t imagine what Mary went through.
Wednesday’s Child is a weekly blogging prompt that features photos of gravestones of children. A sad topic indeed but posts can give life to the stories of these young souls. This has been an ongoing series by Amy at Gravestoned.
